What is VouchCord?
VouchCord is a Discord bot with a web dashboard. Members submit vouches through a form with fields you define, and the bot posts them in your vouch channel. You can require admin approval, limit who can vouch and manage everything from the dashboard.
Is VouchCord free?
Yes. The bot and the web dashboard are free to use.
How do I set it up?
Invite the bot, log in with Discord and open your server in the dashboard. Pick a vouch channel, add your form fields and choose who can vouch. It only takes a few minutes.
Who can use the dashboard?
Anyone with the Administrator permission on a server where the bot is present. Everyone else only sees the Discord side of VouchCord.
How do members submit a vouch?
With the vouch command, which is v!vouch by default and can be renamed in the dashboard. The bot replies with a button that opens the form. With Static Vouch the button is pinned in a channel, so no command is needed.
What is Static Vouch?
Static Vouch permanently pins a vouch form in a dedicated channel. The bot creates a VouchCord category with a vouch channel and a log channel, so members can start a vouch with a single click.
Can I review vouches before they are published?
Yes. Turn on admin approval and every vouch is held in an approval channel until an admin accepts or declines it.
How does the blacklist work?
Blacklisted users cannot submit vouches and cannot be vouched on your server. Add them in the dashboard under Moderation or in Discord with v!blacklist @user 7d reason. The duration is optional, so entries can expire automatically, and v!blacklist list shows everyone who is currently blacklisted.
What does Auto Role do?
Auto Role gives a role of your choice to every member who joins your server. Make sure that role sits below the bot's highest role.
Which permissions does the bot need?
The invite link requests Administrator so setup works without permission errors. In practice the bot needs to view channels, send messages and embed links, plus manage roles if you use Auto Role.
What data does VouchCord store?
Your Discord ID, username and avatar for the login, your server settings and the vouches that members submit. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
Do I stay logged in?
Yes. After you log in with Discord you stay signed in on that device until you log out. Logging out deletes your session.
